Mr. Charles E. Fonseka, a distinguished veteran, served in the British Forces for 22 years, including a tenure in a special unit that handled sensitive information. Educated at Seychelles College and Secondary Modern School, Mr. Fonseka joined the British Forces at 18 and moved to the UK.

Upon his return to Seychelles, Mr. Fonseka founded Pilgrims Security in 1993. This venture followed his orchestration of the private security arrangements for the return of the late President James Mancham to Seychelles in 1992. His extensive military experience and commitment to national security have been instrumental in his role as Minister of Internal Affairs.
